Vectra was founded in 1987 by Doug MacLean, Robert Rasmussen, Buell Ish, and Jeff Johnson.  Jeff left the Company in 1992 for other business pursuits.

Starting with an innovative concept, six employees, a small manufacturing facility, and an abundance of hard work, Vectra was able to ship its first fitness equipment order, Model 1500, in November 1987.  The Company rapidly gained a reputation for high-quality, in-home fitness equipment.
